Vermouth can be either white (dry), or red (sweet), and both are made from white wine flavored with aromatic extracts and spices. While both types of vermouth are consumed in assorted beverages, white, dry vermouth is also used in cooking in place of a dry white wine. Punt e Mes (POONT eh MEHSS) is one of the worlds most popular red vermouths.
